Some people get excited when they think about lingerie; others cringe at the thought. For many people, lingerie means skimpy little thongs or peekaboo baby dolls...nothing a person in their right minds would wear. However, lingerie is more than thongs, baby dolls, and filmy nightgowns. In fact, lingerie is a fancy word referring to underwear, but many of us also refer to the garments women wear to bed in this way.
Lingerie Is All About Personality
Many women wear lingerie to express themselves. The smooth satiny feeling or the idea of wearing something lacy or made from leather makes them feel desirable, and that desirability makes them feel powerful.
Others shy away from even mentioning the word lingerie. They prefer to wear something practical, there's nothing wrong with that; practical doesn't have to mean boring.
Find What's Right for Your Lingerie Drawer
If lingerie is all about personality, then it's logical that when shopping you should keep in mind what you like to wear. What makes you comfortable? If you are the kind that likes cotton then stick with that, don't buy a boatload of things you know just don't fit with your personality.
Many women want to spice up their bedroom lives, so what about mixing things up. Sure, why not, go ahead and mix things up but remember the style and material you select should still resonate with you. There is a great range of lingerie items to select from and there will be something to fit your personality. Not into nightgowns, there are silky, cottony or flannel pajamas. Some may say cotton and flannel can't be sexy, ignore them, these materials are sexy if you make the right choice.
Size matters. Yes, that is very cliched, but it does. The size from one underwear maker does not always measure up the same as that from others. Have you ever spent hours wearing a garment that tormented you for hours because it was the wrong fit? Don't let that happen to you again. Be sure to look closely at the measurements if you are unfamiliar with the brand you will be purchasing.
Another thing that can affect the fit when it comes to sizing is the cut. If we are dealing with panties, then the type of cut will affect fit, for example, something like a boy shorts that offer a lot of coverage will definitely not fit the same as something with a bikini cut.
